How to Attach a Tarp or Canopy with Ball Bungees

A ball bungee uses an elastic loop and a ball to make a removable connection. JONEAZ ball bungees are intended for light securing applications, including tarp and canopy attachment.

Before you start

Check your tarp or canopy manufacturer's attachment instructions. Choose a suitable length using the product's measurement diagram, and inspect the cord, ball, grommet and support for visible damage.

Make the connection

  1. Position the grommet near the intended support.
  2. Pass the elastic loop through the grommet.
  3. Bring the loop around the support.
  4. Slip the loop over the ball to hold the connection.
  5. Check that the loop is seated around the ball and is not rubbing against a sharp edge.

If the connection is very loose or requires excessive pulling, recheck the routing and selected length. Repeat at the attachment points specified by your tarp or canopy manufacturer.

Choose your length
